| NEVER use Alcohol, this is CDI so use Discjuggler 3 trial. Never try to burn as a PS1 disc lol.
Burn this with these settings. Mode 2 Offset 0 Block....2336 TOC......CD-XA In the boxes that you check mark ONLY check Add post-gap to 3rd party images! Then burn @ 4x speed. Hope that helps, I use these settings on all Self Booting games and they seem to work perfect.

| i always use alcohol 120 in rao-dao at 24x, but in this particular case, i'd follow anthony's advice, idk why but hl1 mods are very sensitive xD

| Yeah, divagante knows I used to have problems with HL mods too. They would work sometimes, and others not, but since I burned them this way and cleaned my laser with a Qtip cotton swab and alcohol, it has worked fine.

| ughh
its not that
discjuggler just shuts down when i put in the file when it stays on the "explorer" page, and even when i go somewhere else it doesn't have the option to let me burn the disk
when it shuts down it has the message (title) "Microsoft visual C++ Runtime library"
(message) " C:/Program Files/padus/discjuggler/cdj.exe
this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information"
GAHH! FUCK COMPUTERS!
its been like 6 months since i had a new DC game and i NEED this friggin game

| I'm having the same proble TheGamesphere, same exact error. Only thing is I couldn't get a hold of DJ 3.0. But i did everything on there. Also failed to work on Alcohol. When I play the disc i burned on Alcohol it says "\CD-ROM\VALVE\PAK0.PAK IS NOT A PACKFILE" with a black screen. Nothing else happens

| All I can really tell you is to try burning on a different cd drive or computer alltogether. Half Life mods can be very finiky, as I had times when they games would load bad, and I would get a black screen with the Pak error. Make sure it is DJ 3.5 demo version, look on TPB if you can't find it anyplace else.
